Ryde Hunters Hill Community Transport’s Stav Contellis has taken out the prestigious Employee of the Year award by Community Transport Organisation NSW.

She is pictured centre receiving her award at the annual CTO NSW Conference held recently at Sydney Olympic Park.

Stav oversees the day to day transport operations ensuring clients reach their appointments in a timely, safe and reliable way.

Her enthusiasm is catchy.

She always knows how to motivate her staff, make all the drivers feel special and has an amazing group of volunteers – both drivers and bus assistants – who form part of the team.

Occasionally you’ll even see Stav out on the bus running a social outing or one of the overnight trips.

She always makes these trips special for the passengers and they have been to some amazing places and always seem to find something quirky to do.

Below are some quotes from some satisfied clients:

Joan writesL “What a great holiday I had, thank you to both Stav and Malia. You certainly went beyond your duties, always there for us all and taking us to beautiful views – I shall always remember my Port Stephens holiday!”

And from Barbara “What a lovely Kiama trip and made more enjoyable for the caring, thoughtful and competent Stav and Denise. They made the days fly – the planning was wonderful. What would I do without you! Look after Stav and Denise, they are gems”.

One area in particular that Stav has worked tirelessly in over the last two years is the medical transport program.

She has increased capacity by 16%!

Ryde-Hunters Hill Community Transport Manager Virginia Coy congratulated Stav on her special award.

“We’re very proud of you – your empathy and care for each and every client shines through all that you do and this award is well deserved,” said Virginia.
