Celebrate Christmas with Mozart, carols and the Joubert Singers

Three TWT readers can win double passes to the Joubert Singers’ Christmas concert on Sunday December 10 in the Holy Name of Mary Church (Villa Maria), 1 Mary Street, Hunters Hill at 2.30pm.

Concert includes a variety of traditional and contemporary carols from around the world as well some well-known favourites with audience participation.

The choir will also highlight excerpts from one of WA Mozart’s best known and most popular works, the Vespers.

This work includes the glorious Laudate Dominum, which has one of the most lyrical soprano solos ever written, to be sung by famous local soprano Emilie Lemasson.

The choir will also sing some classic Christmas carols such as Once in Royal David’s City, the Australian Carol of the Birds, and a special Away in a Manger. There’ll also be some less common carols, including from Peru and Iceland, and William Walton’s modern-yet-ancient Make We Joy Now in This Fest. Carols selected for the audience to sing along with the choir will include Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, Silent Night, and O Come All Ye Faithful

Refreshments served after concert.

Tickets $25 adults or $20 concession.
