COURT DRAMA: STATE GOVT REBUFFED OVER COUNCIL MERGERS!

Premier Must Rethink Forced Amalgamations OR It’s GOODBYE GLADYS!

BY OUR CHIEF CIVIC ROUNDSMAN

Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s forced council mergers have been blown out of the water with Ku-ring-gai Council winning its court battle to stop a forced merger with Hornsby on Monday.

Hunters Hill Mayor Clr Richard Quinn says he is “absolutely thrilled by the court ruling” as Hunters Hill’s case is similar to Ku-ring-gai’s.

“It’s fantastic, absolutely wonderful news” he said yesterday “and the court verdict confirms everything we’ve said about forced mergers from day one”.

Forced council mergers ended Deputy Premier Troy Grant’s leadership career followed by resignation of Dictator Premier Mike Baird predicted by The Weekly Times November 16, 2016.
