Donald Oil Award

Hunters Hill SES Unit volunteer Scott MacCue receives the prestigious Donald Oil Award from Hunters Hill Local Controller Louise Bertoni (pictured). The award recognised Scott’s many tireless hours of effort into maximising or renovations with a minimal budget.

The trophy is given to a member who has gone above and beyond the call of duty behind the scenes. This included shopping around for deals, meeting contractors and doing much of the work himself.

Scott has worked in the stores area; been head chainsaw trainer; maintained the fleet of saws; been call duty officer and led teams through some challenging jobs.

The award was introduced in 2005 and created by Paul Main-Donald of Donald Oil, a local Hunters Hill resident who wanted to recognise the efforts of local volunteers.
