Three TWT readers can win double passes to opening night show of Eastwood Uniting Church Musical Society’s new production Godspell on Friday May 13 in Eastwood Uniting Church, 14-16 Lakeside Road, Eastwood at 8pm

Godspell is an exuberant, contemporary retelling of the story of Jesus.

Upbeat, poignant, joyful and funny, the show follows Jesus and his friends as they share and enact stories and lessons using a range of theatrical styles, storytelling techniques, games and much comedy.

Set in a modern railway station, this production of Godspell is a hybrid of the original 1971 script and the updated 2011 revival score.

What if you arrived one day at your local railway station – and near the ticket machine was a man who would change the course of history?

Godspell was the first hit musical by Stephen Schwartz (composer/lyricist of the smash hit Wicked) and its catchy score features a wide variety of musical styles such as jazz, vaudeville, gospel, and folk styles and much-loved songs including Day by Day and Prepare Ye.

Full of warmth, wit, wisdom and charm, this is a show to be enjoyed by everyone.

Cast includes Sam Hile as Jesus; Anthony Mason in the dual role of John the Baptist & Judas; and a thoroughly talented cast of supporting principals and chorus.

Other performances Saturday May 14 at 1pm & 7pm; Friday May 20 at 8pm; Saturday May 21 at 1pm and 7pm; Friday May 27 at 8pm and Saturday May 28 at 1pm and 7pm.
