Half a billion dollar Ryde Hospital boost

Ryde Hospital’s future is assured with a $479 million redevelopment announced by Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Ryde MP Victor Dominello during a visit to the site this week.

They were accompanied by NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard, Ryde Hospital General Manager Heather Gough, 2019 Ryde Citizen of the Year Hassib Elias and wife Claire Elias and Mr Dominello’s mother, who gave birth to Victor and his two sisters in Denistone House.

Consistent lobbying by Ryde MP Victor Dominello has been the driving force behind the planned new $479 million, ultra-modern hospital that will also have its rich heritage preserved, according to NSW Health Minister Brad Hazzard.

Historic Denistone House – in the backdrop to the picture below, will be preserved to form the centrepiece of the purpose-built facility.
