JB’s World: The political game of One Upmanship

ONE UPMANSHIP is the name of the game in politics and Ryde mayor Clr Jerome Laxale, who just so happens to be the Labor candidate for next March’s State Government election in case you haven’t noticed, is honing his skills the closer the poll date comes around. Hence, I suspect, our TWT page 1 exclusive this week.

JB HAS just returned from a flying visit to India which comprised six aeroplanes and four days in the air and at airports for a day and night at destination in Ahmedabad south west of New Delhi.
Purpose was to be one of two Australian representatives at the establishment dinner meeting of the Asia Pacific Region Scout and Guide Fellowship Foundation to give humanitarian aid to needy scouts and guides and others in the Asia Pacific Region.

Needless to say Brian Jackson from Wollongong and JB managed to get a dose of Delhi belly even though only on the ground a short time although we were able to visit Mahatma Ghandi’s house and the new Ghandi Museum at Ahmedabad capital of Gujarat state.
