Kassandra aims to be a role model

The Weekly Times is proud to introduce Miss Rodd Point 2015, Kassandra Kashian (pictured).

19 year old Kassandra is a former Drummoyne Public School student who is studying Marketing and Public Relations at the University of Technology.

She told The Weekly Times she is thrilled to be Miss Rodd Point and to represent the local area at the State Finals of Miss Galaxy Australia on the Gold Coast later this month.

“I’m thrilled, very excited and also a little bit nervous,” she said.

“Hopefully I can go on to represent Australia at the Miss Galaxy Pageant in America, later this year.

“I really appreciate the support of our local newspaper, The Weekly Times and I hope I can be a good role model for other girls.”

Kassandra has undertaken fundraising work with Make-a-Wish Australia and Wildlife Warriors and was a hostess at the Chinese New Year Festival and Cinema in the Park for Communities for Communities at Rhodes.

She also participated in the Clean Up Australia Day.

“I’m from an Armenian speaking background and I’m a fourth generation local resident,” she said.
