A 20-YEAR-OLD LIVERPOOL MAN was charged with swearing and spitting at police at a function centre in Marsfield last Friday morning.

He was arrested shortly after police responded to an altercation in the function centre carpark and they allege the man appeared dishevelled and under the influence of alcohol.

When approached by the arresting officers he is alleged to have swung his arms at them and spat on them before being charged with Offensive Behaviour.

He is due to appear in Burwood Local Court in February.

A 40-YEAR-OLD CABARITA WOMAN was charged with shoplifting from a department store in Ryde on Monday.

The offence occured around 5.20pm when the woman allegedly stole greeting cards and clothing.

The woman was stopped outside the store by a security guard and later issued with a Court Attendance Notice For Shoplifting.

AN 80-YEAR-OLD EPPING MAN has been accused of a shoplifting offence in Carlingford last week.

Police allege the offence occured at a Carlingford supermarket and the 80 year old paid for a single item before attempting to leave with the stolen items.

He was stopped by a security guard and was later issued with a Criminal Infringement Notice For Shoplifting by police as well as a Banning Notice from the store.

AN ADMISSION to possessing cannabis saw a man cautioned in Eastwood last week.

The 24 year old Baulkham Hills man was one of five men searched when police raided a car parked in Rowe Street.

It is alleged the raid found a plastic resealable bag containing what police believe to be cannabis within the carÕs console.

Police allege the 24 year admitted to owning the suspected drug and he was issued with a Cannabis Caution.
