Police News: Man charged with exposing himself in park

A MAN has been charged with exposing himself in a public park in Epping.

The 45 year old man from Glenroy in Victoria was issued with a Criminal Infingement Notice For Offence Behaviour around 5pm last Friday after police were told he was exposing himself while laying on a blanket in Boronia Park.

Police spoke with a witness before approaching the man who was then issued with a move on direction, which he complied without further incident.

POLICE arrested and charged a man with sticking posters to telegraph poles last Friday.

The alleged offence occured around 12.45 pm in Church Street, Top Ryde where the 29 year old is reported to have removed a poster from a bag and taped it to a pole.

Police informed him it is illegal to affix posters to poles and a police patrol later noticed that other posters had been stuck to other poles in the vicinity.

A further check on the man revealed that he had 70 posters and 12 rolls of sticky tape in his possession.

He was arrested and given a Court Attendance Notice for Affix Placard Or Paper On Premises Without Consent.

He will appear in Burwood Local Court at a later date.

 A CANNABIS CAUTION was issued to a 21-year-old Melrose Park man in North Ryde last Friday.

Police allege he was found with a large glass bong and a small amount of cannabis leaf when searched around 10.35pm.

A STRUGGLE broke out between police and a man alleged to have breached an Apprehended Domestic Violence Order on Monday.

Police report the 56-year-old man was located near Rawson Street in Epping around 7 pm and acted aggressively before being handcuffed by arresting officers.

He is further alleged to have been swearing at police in the vicinity of children despite being told to stop.

He was charged with Contravene Prohibition/Restriction in AVO (Domestic), Resist Police and Offensive Language and was granted conditional bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on March 20.
