Sky Blues maintain unbeaten run

Sydney FC played out an entertaining 0-0 draw away to Adelaide United on the weekend, to continue their unbeaten streak to eleven games (including the FFA Cup Final).
Both sides had their chances with the Sky Blues coming the closest in a number of times in the second half.

The result the Sky Blues maintain a six-point gap at the summit of the table.

“We tried to put pressure everywhere on the pitch, as high as possible and I think we did this good,” said Sydney FC defender Jordy Buijs.

“But sometimes you don’t have the luck and we keep moving on.”

Meanwhile, Sydney FC announced the re-signing of their star left back Michael Zullo for another two years.

“It’s an honour to be remaining a Sky Blue for a further two years,” Zullo said.

“Sydney FC offers me everything on and off the pitch that you could ask for. It’s the biggest and best club in the country and there is nowhere else I’d rather be playing my football than within the family environment we have here.

“I’m hungry for even more titles, especially with the 2018 AFC Champions League just around the corner.

“I’m excited to continue growing as a player and person on and off the field and assume even more responsibility within the club.”

Sydney FC Head Coach Graham Arnold said it was exciting to have Zullo remaining a Sky Blue.

“Michael is one of the integral cogs in our defensive unit and it’s pleasing to have him on board for another two seasons,” Arnold said.
