REIGNING champion Sydney faces a tough hurdle on the pitch against Sutherland in a Kingsgrove Sport Twenty20 Cup blockbuster semi-final.

The Tigers will pit their skills against a strong Sutherland line up that features includes deposed Australian Test skipper Steve Smith when action starts at 2.30pm.

Proceedings got under way at 10am with Sydney taking on Gordon Blue in the Women’s first and second grade Twenty20 clashes.
