To celebrate Mother’s Day, Buddha’s Day and its 50th anniversary, Tzu Chi Foundation’s Sydney branch will hold a combined commemorative event on Sunday May 8.
The general public are welcome to join them that day at Tzu Chi Australia’s headquarters at 20-22 Glen Street Eastwood.
It is an occasion where religious solemnities and soothing music are combined to exhibit a unique form of gracefulness, drawing out the inborn kindness of humanity.
For those troubled by recent unrests and disasters in many countries, it will be a good opportunity to pray for a calamity-free world.
Mandarin session from 9am to 10am (8.30am admission) or Mandarin & English session: 2pm to 3.30pm (1.30pm admission).
The cleansing ceremony symbolises the paying of respect to Buddha, parents and the universe.
On site that day will also be photographic display of Tzu Chi’s core mission activities.
